Julie Gonzalo and her Red Balloon

Julie Gonzalo, Zooey Magazine Having wanted to do something other than a profile editorial, we sought to re-create the Parisian short film The Red Balloon in drawings! Because we couldn't go to Paris, Estelle Morris drew us the city instead - complete with cobble stones and city views. Our subject? The darling Julie Gonzalo (TNT's "Dallas") who we very much adore.

Illustrated Photography

The greatest gift you can gift to any artist is simply acknowledgement. We are grateful for our beautiful readers who take the time to tell us they appreciate what we publish. We cherish each and every word, and it really warms our hearts when you tell us you care too. One of our photos, shot by the talented Kelsey Newkman, was recently illustrated by "Pound the Pavement" after the photograph was seen on our website. Thanks so much for sharing us this great piece of work - we absolutely adore it!

A.J. and Mekhai

A.J. Cook, Mekhai Andersen One of our favorite things to discover in Hollywood, is the realness of its people. A.J. Cook of "Criminal Minds" certainly helps us to reiterate this fascination, for she is...above all, a mother and a wife. We spent a summer day tucked away in Seychelles' headquarters for a fun photo shoot with she and her son Mekhai Andersen. And these two surely set the standard for mommy-and-me style.

See more of their feature in our Winter issue, and be sure to take a little peek behind-the-scenes of the shoot with the video below.
