Zooey Magazine shot this Umbrellas of Cherboug-inspired feature at the Off Pico Studios in Los Angeles. We were happy to work with five beautiful talents: Gillian Jacobs (Community), Annabelle Wallis (Pan Am), Frankie Muniz, Daniel Sunjata (Rescue Me), and James Van Der Beek (Don't Trust the B in Apt 23).
Both photographer Will Taylor and stylist Kristina Van Dyk were able to capture the movie's essence in this modern twist.
The issue is currently on stands. Next week, you'll be able to purchase copies at the Grove Farmers Market Newsstand.
Much of the prime real estate above Hollywood boulevard belongs to celebrities of the same degree. And this is no different for Alexandra Breckenridge ("American Horror Story"), who welcomed Zooey Magazine into her own home for a personalized photo shoot.
Listening to a music mix of Cyndi Lauper, Michael Jackson, and Prince among others, Alexandra laughed about the current happenings in her life while her hair and makeup were completed.
As soon as we began shooting, that same laugh only continued to reverberate throughout the house, revealing her fun and witty personality. Alexandra revealed all the intimacies of her home life, including everything from the art on her walls, the books on her shelves, the clothes in her closet, and even the drinks in her fridge. Zooey Magazine fell in love with each unique and beautiful aspect of the actress' house, especially her two Yorkies that entertained our staff in between each shot.
Combining locations inside and outside, we were able to give our readers a true feeling for the place Alexandra calls home. All of her designs and decorations were included as is and Alexandra made sure we were having just as much fun as she was.
