Introduction to our Editor's Favorites

I am generally the person behind the desk, hidden behind stacks of paper and magazines - away from public view. Until recently, I've been thrown into some great ideas that I thought would be a fun attribute to Zooey Magazine's website. To offer readers an insight to our daily lives, the team decided to truly utilize this "P.S. We Love This" feature to show readers what we love, and to also (finally) show you what we look like. If you don't find me pleasant to look at, flip to the next page because the people we feature in the magazine are total eye-candy. But if you don't mind me, I surely want to connect more with all the Zooey readers and share our (mine included) personal styles. You can go ahead and call this our new staff fashion blog - it's about to evolve to one.

This is an irresistible polka-dotted dress designed by Dear Creatures available at Emerging Thoughts for only $70. This dress is so comfortable and the Peter Pan collar is just an additional plus. I love a good collar! I feel like I'm about to buy out the whole Emerging Thoughts shop...they have everything I am in awe of!

I have to talk about the boots in this look. I am a Seychelles girl, everyone knows that. Those "dearest" boots are the best pair of boots I've ever worn. They're so comfortable, which I need because I travel all over Los Angeles each day. You can dress them up and you can dress them down...I don't think I could ever part from these!

I saw these "hello" pull-overs circulating Instagram a few weeks ago and I knew I had to grab one for myself. Hello Merch designs these pull-overs with eco-friendly fabric. When I heard that, I was thrilled to try mine on. It's cozy and warm, and perfect for every day wear. The red one is my favorite!

If you didn't notice the agenda, look twice. I'm a planner...a writer. So I must have a good agenda that can endure my travels and long hours. Erin Condren, ladies and gentlemen, is the place to order one. From the moment I got my own customized planner, I haven't stopped writing in it. It is my planner and note-taker. On the front, I have my name printed and a quote from one of my favorite songs by the Beatles, "Blackbird." The line says: "you were only waiting for this moment to arise." I'm so thrilled with this and have to give you my geek-moment. It's that amazing.

For a while now, my closet was missing a knitted sweater. I found this at Element Eden where they also carry other things I adore. I wore this with a dress and my Seychelles boots, but the other day, I paired it with denim and a colorful blouse and that was my 'office' outfit.

My bracelets [1] [2] are from Stella & Dot. Oh, how I love their spring collections. Each piece is so photogenic and these two bracelets give such a sweet look.

And here at Zooey, we shoot on all types of film with many different types of cameras. The Lomography cameras are a fun way to shoot - it's all straight from film. No battery needed...which makes life just a tad bit easier! I have this Domino design one that receives a whole lot of 'oohs' and 'awes' from friends.

I have cardigans in almost every color and design. I found this navy cardigan on Ruche that features repeating Swans with little beaded eyes. While it is simplistic, I think it compliments other patterns very well like my birdie chiffon blouse. This cardigan is surely one of my favorite pieces from my wardrobe!

I know, I know...what is my face doing on Zooey's website? Well, give me a couple more articles and maybe you'll find me appealing after all. I'm excited about this new feature and I hope we'll share the same delight.

Holiday Wish List

While it may seem last minute, there is a reason to our holiday wish list landing on these pages on the 21st. You see, there is a New Year that awaits us...which means more-gifting celebration. We find these following items a must-have for friends and family, and we couldn't be more serious.

1. Vee Collection: This independent clothing is vintage-inspired and absolutely wonderful. Our favorite item is the Arsenic Green and Lace Skirt. 2. Lemon and Line: Timeless bracelets that go well with any outfit for any occasion. We love the Bristol Collection! 3. Mei Vintage: We're so surprised we didn't find this line sooner! Our must-have bag is this Hermosa Crossbody. 4. Cellairis: We gave away so many of these gorgeous cell phone cases, and we're filling up the nation with Cellairis! The Elle & Blair collection is something all the ladies (or gentlemen) must sport. 5. Everyday Minerals: We love natural cosmetics, and Everyday Minerals is just that. They just released this new 'Red Carpet' collection with some fun evening colors. Holiday colors? Yes! 6. Koko Candles: Don't get us wrong, there are a ton of candles out there. But Koko Candles is simply the go-to shop for simple, sweet scents. We handed out a bunch last month, and everyone loved these candles! Try these macaron shaped candles...looks good enough to eat. 7. Isle Apparel: A Florida boutique we absolutely adore - both the clothes and the people! Their tweed jackets are something we always want in our closets. 8. Nailtiques: We've used their nail protein over and over and it's essentially magic. They have some sophisticated colors that cannot go wrong as gifts or for yourself. 9. Juice Beauty: We've tested these long ago when their Alicia Silverstone collection launched. Try the whole Silverstone kit. Smells good and is completely organic and natural. 10. Jo Totes: For the stylish photographer in all of us... These camera bags are the charm. We have one ourselves and don't just use it for our gear! Our current favorite is the Betsy Mustard. 11. 50 Dresses: Vintage-inspired - caught our eyes immediately. Every girl needs to own a dress...or five...or fifty. We're currently in love with their Silver Dress. Our holiday pick, that's a certain. 12. Impossible Project: Every photographer must learn to shoot on film first before they shoot on digital. History lies in Polaroid, and the Impossible Project has changed the way we think and use it. We are infatuated with this company. They just released a wooden edition of their film. What? They're the raddest. 13. Erin Condren: We recently printed or holiday cards with Erin Condren, and they were sent all over the entire nation. We're dying to use their famous life planners for the coming year. Can't wait to order one ourselves! 14. JustFab: We recently used JustFab shoes on Aimee Garcia. Each pair is $39.99...so we'll take all of them in our cart. We're loving these boots for the winter season! 15. Revenge Is: Lastly, we want you to check out Revenge Is! They produce our favorite tees, which are made using recycled products (like plastic bottles!). Take a look at our Zooey Collection for your friends and family - each shirt was designed by Nan Lawson and created with actress Kaley Cuoco.

Phew! That's quite a list.
