We had an interesting girl talk about some random things that have are actually rather entertaining, because boy, this lovely lady can instantly delight a crowd. Aside from dishing on the do’s and don’ts of dating - she has been quite a busy girl this year already filming new episodes for “Franklin and Bash” and writing for the Huffington Post. We were able to gather 10 facts on Shiri that you may have not already known.
My ultimate celebrity crush is Fred Savage. I like Fred Savage a lot because he was my childhood crush. He’s really the only celebrity I’ve had a crush on.
My favorite place to be is in the bathtub at home.
A few things I cannot tolerate are when you’re working out at the gym and other people don’t know space etiquette – that drives me crazy. And I don’t like when you’re driving up La Cienega and then all of these cars wait until the very last minute and cut you off. It’s like, just wait your turn, you’ve already created all this traffic to cut at the front of the line, I don’t like that very much.
My favorite LA takeout spot is Son of a Gun. It’s seafood. You can take your fried chicken sandwich and French fries to go. It’s the best food, it is SO good!
If a stranger spent the day with me, they would learn that I work out a lot. I like to work out. Also, I probably drink like 15 cups of tea a day – I love tea. I am reading three books at one time and I have a cute little loft in my house that I take a nap in everyday – it’s the best nap in the world.
My web-show is called Dating Rules for my Future Self. I play an app designer who is about to marry the wrong guy. And then I start getting text messages from myself 10 years in the future telling me not to do it. I really wanted to do the show because I thought it had a really cool concept. It also had a message, it was about something specific. They also let me produce the series for the first time. It was my first time being a part of the process from the beginning, and I really enjoyed it.
If I could give one piece of dating/relationship advice...my number one dating rule would be: don’t be a slut. My number one rule for relationships is to be honest about what you actually want and what you actually need to be happy. Because lying to yourself or the other person – isn’t going to get you anywhere.
If I had a son, I would name him...Fred Savage, let’s try to bring the joke back around.
My ideal perfect day would begin with flying to Greece in the morning. Then I would sit out on the beach in Greece for the afternoon and eat mangoes. Later on I’d like to have some Sangria – although I don’t know if you can get Sangria in Greece. Well, I basically want to drink in the late afternoon while in Greece. Last, I would fly back to Paris and have dinner. Sounds fabulous right?
If I could play an instrument, I guess it would be the guitar. I bought a guitar when I was making Swimfan, and I’ve never been able to figure out how to play it. But maybe I would be a John Mayer guitarist in my next life. Or, I want to be one of Gwyneth Paltrow’s back-up singers – that could be fun.
